LGPD in Healthcare e-book
The goal of this project was to develop a PDF e-book containing all the guidelines on LGPD (General Data Protection Law) aimed at the healthcare sector. So far, nothing too new, right?
As a digital specialist with a broad perspective on all aspects of design, our premise was to make the file as readable, enjoyable, intuitive, and easy to navigate as possible. Of course, all of this within a visually appealing format that aligns with Prontmed's brand identity.
In other words, we applied all the User Experience concepts from digital design to a print-based format, ensuring that readers could fully engage with every aspect of the experience. This began with the Onboarding (How to navigate this e-book) and the interactive Table of Contents, guiding readers on how to navigate the LGPD in Healthcare e-book.
We also decided to adopt a "presentation" format so that the reader could go through the content page by page without the need for scrolling during reading.
Navigation
One of our concerns was the central navigation, where we invested a significant amount of time.
Although the PDF was a file that could be printed, knowing that the audience would be using a browser or PDF readers to view or consult the file, we created a navigable menu, along with internal links within the document to direct readers to related pages or topics.
Although the PDF was a file that could be printed, knowing that the audience would be using a browser or PDF readers to view or consult the file, we created a navigable menu, along with internal links within the document to direct readers to related pages or topics.
We then created an introductory page right after the cover, where we provided simple navigation instructions for the readers.
To achieve this result, we also conducted background studies and button states, which can be seen below as well.
Sketches
In the creation process of the projects I get involved in, I often use the good old paper sketching to quickly draft what comes to mind, and this e-book was no different. So, I made some sketches and shared ideas for the cover, structure, menu, and onboarding with the designer who was working with me.
Templates and standards
Another important part of this task was creating a color palette based on the brand's visual identity manual. We also defined the grid, table patterns, links, images, pagination, and the visual behavior of the charts.
Aplication
Finally, we applied the concepts and standards created across all pages, maintaining the brand's visual identity and ensuring visual unity and consistent navigation throughout the document, which was made available for download to all healthcare professionals.
