Context
"In a tech-literate yet underbanked market like Brazil, mobile banking apps offer a seamless way of delivering more inclusive financial services. The Airfox mission is to provide robust financial services to traditionally underserved markets in Brazil. On June 5 Airfox re-branded its digital app and launched banQi, a full-service digital bank for Brazil.
This process was driven in part by a mission to bring the product closer to the needs of our users. For Airfox’s product team, conducting a major UX research project in São Paulo was essential in uncovering new insights that led to a redesign of the app’s information architecture and navigation."

Objective
The project's goal was to support Airfox in A/B testing, guerrilla testing, usability tests, and observational research to identify navigation understanding and detect potential pain points.
Job
In this project, I participated in all stages of the research, from creating the script, building prototypes, sending out surveys, recruiting participants, and conducting all tests. I was also responsible for delivering reports and heuristic analyses, suggesting improvements for the issues identified.
A/B Testing
During the wireframe design phase, the goal of this A/B test was to discover which interface felt more familiar and easier to understand. I conducted the research using the guerrilla method with various street-based informal workers, gathering a range of insights. For this, I brought along printed versions of the options provided by the client.
Sketches
Along with the reports, I created some sketches to illustrate one of the suggested improvements.
Usability Testing
After sending the survey to research groups, I recruited participants and conducted the interviews and usability tests.
Reports
Several tests were conducted for different stages and objectives, and for each stage, a report was generated containing data such as sampling, overall perception, and improvement suggestions for the identified issues.
Client's Word
Airfox wrote an article no Medium about the research and design process conducted in collaboration with Badaró.
